Mom Uniform

Shoes: Nordstrom
Headband: c/o Notes and Knots
Watch: c/o Arvo

We made it to Friday!! I'm celebrating right now with a diet coke in a foam cup-extra pebble ice. One more week until I get to see my parents, and I'm SO excited. Hopefully this next week flies by because I haven't seen my parents since April.

Remember my post earlier this week about Pink Blush Maternity?? Well their basic maternity tees are HEAVENLY and come in 11 colors. Look how long they are! It's perfect maternity wardrobe staple because you can wear it all 3 trimesters. I feel like this outfit is a total mom uniform. Perfect for running errands! Another good thing about these maternity tees is that you could wear them even if you weren't pregnant because they don't look like a maternity t-shirt. Plus they make great shirts for layering during the fall.

I hope you guys have a great rest of your day. Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Hump Day! I absolutely love this white top from A Pea in the Pod maternity store! My mom found it for me on clearance while she was out shopping, and I'm so glad she did because it goes with everything! It's definitely a staple in my maternity wardrobe. I thought the Notes and Knots headband gave the extra subtle pop to the wardrobe with the peachy pink and gold. I love how soft their headbands are-I NEVER get a headache from wearing them. Hands down the best headbands I've ever owned.

Dr. Brown's New Options Bottles

Well hey there! Long time no see! It has been a busy couple of months for me so I needed to take a little time off from the posts and although I can't say things have really slowed down for me at all now with the arrival of my handsome little guy, I thought I'd get back in it and share something that has really helped me and my husband out in this completely new aspect of our lives.

I'll just say it, breastfeeding is hard. As I'm sure most of you know all too well, it is definitely tough to get used to and really hard to plan your life around. I'm only about three weeks in to it so I know it's still new and things will get easier (I hope) but I can tell you that my nocturnal baby who loves to snack every hour at night is exhausting. I do love the bonding time I get with my little guy and all of the cuddles but lets be honest, I would love for my husband to get the chance to help out and get some bonding time in with him as well. Not to mention I will be returning to school to finish up my last couple of weeks so we were really hoping he would also take a bottle since I will have to be gone for six hours a night. So we decided to try out the new Options bottle from Dr. Browns and it was a hit!

Some of my favorite things about these bottles are that they have a removable vent system that helps reduce colic and gassiness plus they fit most breast pumps so I can just pump directly into the bottle and pop on the vent and the nipple and I'm all set to feed! In my opinion, this also helps with the gassiness because the less transferring you have to do of the breast milk, the less air bubbles are created. This also helps preserve vitamins in breast milk that other systems may cause to break down.

I won't lie, I was super nervous to introduce a bottle to him this early because I was scared he wouldn't want to go back to breastfeeding and that I would be losing out on that time with him but now I can say that I'm glad that we did because he seems happy to go back and forth and I feel like getting him used to both before I go back to school and work was a good idea so he didn't get too used to just breastfeeding and not accept the bottle later.

Bringing a baby into this world has been by far the most amazing and difficult time of my life but I don't know how we ever lived without him! I'm so glad to have him around and I know that there will be hard days and nights but there are so many great things out there that help make thing just a little bit easier and I'm so grateful for each and every one of them.

Dressing The Bump: 2nd Trimester

Bottoms: c/o Pink Blush Maternity
Shoes: Nordstrom
Watch: c/o Arvo

Good morning! I know what you're thinking-an outfit post?!?!?! Yes! I FINALLY am feeling on the up and up and decided it was time I ventured out of my comfy clothes and take some outfit pictures. I didn't even throw up until AFTER I had gotten home. I'm making progress people :)

I'm now at the 18 week mark of growing these babies, and my body is definitely making some changes. Dressing this bump has been a bit more of a challenge than I had originally thought. Thankfully Pink Blush Maternity has such a wide selection of cute maternity clothes to choose from! I absolutely love this maternity top because it can be worn during the early stages of pregnancy to hide the bump, and throughout the second trimester. Depending on how big this belly gets, I'm hoping I can wear it through my third trimester as well with an oversized cardigan.

Now let's talk about maternity jeans. I never thought I would like them, but SURPRISE! They're the best thing that ever happened. It's like the fat pants I've always dreamed about. You know-the ones you wear on Thanksgiving because your button is just going to pop after finishing your piece of pie. Pink Blush Maternity has the best selection of maternity jeans. They fit true to size and they're nice and stretchy. They're perfect for wearing to the office, or out on date night with the husband.

If you're pregnant-make sure you check out Pink Blush Maternity. They really do have the best selection of maternity dresses, pants, and tops.

Ever since I found out I was expecting twins, I check GroopDealz to see what kind of baby deals are going on. GroopDealz has always been one of my favorite places to shop because their sales are AMAZING and they have the best customer service. Today they have the Captain Silly Pants swaddle blankets on sale, and I love that they have the 2 packs on sale because shopping for twins can be a bit tricky. Boy/Girl Twins: 16 week Bumpdate

Holy smokes-I cannot believe I'm already at 16 weeks! These babies are growing super fast, and the bump has officially come out. We found out the genders last week, and had a little party with our family to announce. It was so much fun to FINALLY know what we are having. I got all teary eyed after our appointment because having a boy and a girl really is the perfect fit for our family. Here is a little bumpdate:

How far along? 16 weeks!

How big are the babies? The babies are the size of avocados! 4 1/2 inches long and about 3 1/2 ounces.

Weight gain? Almost 2 pounds. It's all belly right now, which I'm thankful for.

Maternity Clothes? I'm now able to wear most maternity shirts. I'm sure I'll be able to wear maternity jeans next week :)

Sleep: I'm able to take naps, but sleeping at night is pretty difficult. I'm a belly sleeper, so I'm trying to get use to sleeping on my side.

Food Cravings: Cupcakes, animal crackers, and pasta.

My Symptoms: Still having morning sickness and exhaustion. I have to pee all the time too.

Movement: I'm not sure. I think I've felt a little bit of movement, but it's really hard to tell.

Names: No names yet. We keep talking about them though, so I'm hoping to nail them down soon.

Best Moment of the Week: Finding out what these babies are! It seriously was the best news ever.

Looking Forward To: I'm looking forward to starting on our nurseries. I'll share some inspiration hopefully this week!
