Spring Shift Dress

Dress: Target (similar, similar)
Jacket: Old (similar)
Shoes: Target

Hey there! I'm so excited to wear dresses all summer long, it really can't get here soon enough for me! Utah is very tricky right now though, those of you who live here know what I'm talking about. It's so nice one day and rains or maybe even snows the next three. Anyway, I'm loving this boho-chic shift dress that I found at Target on clearance for $9 and I can't wait for more warm days to wear it! If you have one near you make sure you head over to Target and check the clearance racks for this dress before its gone! I've linked a couple similar dresses as well though just in case! I love the colors and print on the dress and really love the scoop back. It's the little details like that that always get me.
Another thing I've recently told you about are my new glasses that I got from EyeBuyDirect.com. I also got some sunglasses and it has been life changing! I've worn glasses for years and haven't been able to comfortably wear sunglasses because I couldn't see out of them and I never purchased prescription sunglasses because they were always so expensive! That's why I was so excited when I found eyebuydirect.com! I was able to get a pair of super cute prescription polarized sunglasses and I can actually see when I'm outside now! And they are super affordable! There are so many to choose from and you can make pretty much any frame into sunglasses if you want. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll be ordering more from here. Lots more.
You can get prescription glasses, sunglasses or if you don't need a prescription, get some cute "attitude" glasses! Make sure you check them out, I promise you won't be disappointed and I'll leave some info for 15% off your first purchase below!

Spring Style

(bison photo by inneriart.com)

Jacket: Old (Similar)
Top: H&M
Skirt: Ross (check local Ross, TJ Maxx, Charlotte Russe, Walmart for affordable maxi skirts)
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Old (Siimlar)

Hey there! I'm so excited to actually have some warm spring weather for the next few days at least! Typical spring in Utah, a few nice days to give you hope for summer then surprise, rain! Cold! Probably more snow! Ha! Hopefully we'll be in the up and up here soon though, I'm so ready for skirts and dresses every day! It is so much more comfortable for me in the heat to have flowy maxi skirts or dresses on.
Maxi skirts/dresses have been on trend for a few years now and they're very easy and affordable to come by now which I love but to keep them moving along with current trends I love to tie up a little knot in the side of my skirts. I feel like it adds a little interest to a basic, neutral skirt. I also love wearing a loose tee that I slightly tuck in and let a little slack hang over. I prefer to only tuck a little in because it gives it more of a casual feel for me.
Don't even get me started on my new glasses from EyeBuyDirect.com! I am a full-time glasses wearer and I have been wearing the same boring black glasses for over 4 years now. I kept putting off getting new glasses because I literally gave up my left leg for my last glasses. Okay, thats an exaggeration but they were so expensive! I was so so so excited when I found eyebuydirect.com because they are so affordable! I might've gone a little crazy though and ordered um..... a few.... but I'm happy to say that I have been nothing but pleased with all of them! The prescriptions are perfect, the quality is great, and the selection is amazing! I'll definitely be back to add to my collection. I'll share a 15% off your first purchase link and code below so you can take advantage of it! Oh and if you don't need to wear glasses, get some without prescriptions and look awesome! Or get some new sunnies! Seriously, go check them out, I'm obsessed!

Watch for my next blog post, I'll show you my new prescription sunglasses! (my first ever, so I'm pretty excited!)

Last Minute Easter Dress Deals!

Dress: Ivy City Co or SheIn
Shoes: Old Navy

Hey there! Happy Spring! I don't know about you, but I am REEAADY for some warm weather! I cannot tell you how excited I am to be able to take Nixon out this summer and do all the fun things! If you're in the Utah area, I would love to hear your favorite activities for the kiddies! Where are the best places to get passes to? I've got my eye on a couple places but I'd love to hear other opinions!
Oh and hello, Easter is THIS SUNDAY! This year is flying by, I should probably start planning Nixon's 1st birthday already! He's almost 8 months if you can even believe that! And he's crawling everywhere! I've got a busy body, that is for sure. Okay, sorry, back to Easter! Pretty Easter dresses are my favorite! I love getting dressed up for the festivities so I thought I would share some of my favorite places to grab those last minute dresses!

Also the dress featured above was purchased off of Jane.com a few months ago. The seller that is came from is Ivy City Co. I've also found it HERE but I've purchased from this site before and it took about a month for my dress to arrive so keep that in mind. The reviews on it look good though so that is a plus! Just don't expect it to get to you super fast just in case.

Winter Neutrals

Boots: Nordstrom
Stroller: City Select
Stroller Cover: Covered Goods

Hey guys! So I don't know about you but by this time pretty much every January I am so over winter and ready for it to warm up. I think this year even more than usual because we've had so much snow already. I feel like once February hits though then we are on the up and up so I'll keep looking forward to that. My favorite part of winter though is that I can get away with wearing so many neutral outfits. Which is good for me since we all know I have a hard time stepping outside of the neutrals box. Seriously you should see my closet, theres a very small section of color in there for when I'm feeling adventurous. Anywho, this cardigan from Old Navy has been one of my favorite winter staples this year. I wear it probably too much but hey, that's okay. I love the boyfriend fit because I love baggier tops probably as much as I love my winter neutrals. One of my favorite tops I love to pair it with is this tee from PB&J Boutique. I love the geometric design on it and that it fits loose like a tunic. Pair it with my favorite distressed skinny jeans and voila, my go to outfit. You can't really go wrong with this kind of outfit. As long as you feel good then I'd say you're good to go. I'm also proud to say that this fall I picked up my first pair of Hunter boots. My question to myself now is WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?! But really though, these babies are so perfect for rainy and snowy days. Or not rainy or snowy days. I wear them pretty much all the time regardless of the weather. I even found an affordable forest green pair at Costco a while back that I had to have as well so I went from no Hunters to two in one season and I'm really okay with it.

Two of my must have accessories since I've had Nixon have become my Fawn Design diaper bag and my Covered Goods nursing cover. I don't leave my house without either one. Seriously, if you have a baby, are pregnant, aren't either but you want some cute things, check these out! I get so many complements on both! Plus they just make my life so much easier because they're so convenient. Even my husband loves them both. He gets jealous when I get to wear the diaper bag when we're out. Not weird. ;)

Have such a great day!

Baby Nixon's Four Month Update!

BFF's hanging out with their chew toys ;) - Dr. Brown's Flexees Teethers

First Christmas 2015

Happy holidays! I cannot believe how fast time is going by, it's almost Christmas?! Unreal! We're pretty excited about this holiday season around here with it being Nixon's first! There's something magical about Christmas with a baby.

This little dude is a busy body though, let me tell you what. He is sooo strong and is constantly wanting to stand and started rolling over before he was three months so now he is constantly rolling all over. I'm pretty sure he'll be crawling at any time at the rate he's going. He's also been chewing like crazy on his hands and so I gave him this Dr. Brown's Flexees teether and he LOVES it. It's flexible, easy for him to hold and has little bumps on the edges so it massages his gums. I'm not really sure if he's starting to get any teeth yet or not but this teether definitely keeps him busy! He's never been super reliant on pacifiers although he does use them sometimes in his carseat or swing just to occupy him but when he does use one, I love this pacifier from Dr. Brown's because it reduces suction which reduces future dental issues, something we all want to avoid, am I right?
He's growing so fast and it is very bittersweet to me. One one hand I love seeing every new phase and thing he's learning and on he other hand I want to cry because four months has gone by in the blink of an eye and it only makes me worry how fast the years to come are going to go by. Theres so many things that I loved that he did when he was born that he already doesn't do anymore that I never caught on video, it breaks my heart! I'm definitely working on recording him more often so I always have it.
It's been a difficult and amazing four months, I can't wait to see what is to come with this little guy.

I hope you have a very merry Christmas! Stay safe while you're out and about this season!
