Maternity Photos Featuring My Sister's Closet Boutique

Hey there! Happy 2017! I'm a few weeks late, I know, but better late than never, right? 

Welp, in case you haven't been follow along with me on my Instagram (which you should if you aren't so follow HERE!), I'll catch you up real fast! 2017 is going to be pretty exciting and busy for us because we will be welcoming a little girl into our family in April! I am already 28 weeks and into my third trimester and it is crazy how fast this pregnancy is flying by for me. I think it has something to do with the fact that I chase a toddler around all day so my days already fly by but I'm not complaining! We are very excited and glad it's flying by!

I've learned a lot since my first baby and I will be committing a post to my second time around must have baby registry here in the coming weeks and I'm sure it will be so different from the one I posted when I was pregnant with my son but I'll get working on that and get it up soon! But for now I wanted to share some fun (early) impromtu maternity pictures my amazing Instagram husband took for me this weekend when we were up in the mountains trying to get out of the smog here in the valley. I love the snowy mountains here in Utah during the winter, they are so pretty! I'm grateful we live so close and are able to travel up frequently to get away and get out of the pollution even just for a few hours.

It's kind of crazy too how much faster my belly has grown this time around, I am actually kind of nervous to see how much bigger it gets considering I still have three months left! Fall Transitions

Fall is coming. I can feel it. It might still be ridiculously hot here in Utah but I know it's coming! That or I'm just doing some serious wishful thinking. Probably that. I say it every year, fall is my favorite and around July 5th I'm craving it. I've started adding some transitional items into my closet so that the one day fall decides to surprise us, I'll be ready for it. 

I'm loving this kimono from PB&J Boutique, its a little heavier than all of my other kimonos so instead of it disappearing when it gets too cold, I can keep wearing it all fall and winter long! I love the detail in the design as well, gives you options to wear it with a lot of different looks. I'm so excited to try them out!

I'm also loving my new ankle booties that I found at Ross, of course! I definitely had my eye on a few pairs during the Nsale but even though they were all on sale, they still weren't in my budget so I was so excited when I came across these babies for an affordable price. I've been loving the cut out style on the ankle booties lately so I definitely grabbed them and ran -- straight to the cash register that is...

Denim Jacket - Holey Shirt - Distressed Jeans

Happy Friday y'all! It's always tough getting through the week after a holiday but we did it!! Go ahead and get yourself a donut. And a friendly reminder, Monday is 7/11 so you know what that means, free slurpees from 7/11! Woot Woot! Mark your calendars! A Coke and Cherry mixed slurpee was my number one pregnancy craving in case you were wondering. Such a delight. 

 Anywho, back to business, I am so excited because a friend of mine recently opened up an online shop called Darling Me Avenue! They've been up and running for just over a month now and it's so exciting! I can't wait to see how they grow! This shirt is from her shop and I'm not kidding when I say it has become one of my favorite shirts and that I wear it once a week, for real. It's so comfortable and the fit is perfect and I love the holes, which seems weird to say but it's true! I've been looking for a cute holey shirt for a while now and when I saw this one I just knew it was right.

Mama & Little Teething Jewelry Discount

 Happy Monday Loves! Hope you all had such a great weekend! We had a great time taking Nixon to the splash pad and for a walk up in the mountains and just spending time together! In past summers, I was always super busy with work and school so I felt like I spent the whole season inside and really wasn't that excited about it since I wasn't able to actually enjoy it.  Nixon is almost 11 months old now and has 6 teeth and the last week I think he was probably getting another one somewhere because he was super ornery and he's usually a super happy guy. He wouldn't let me look of course, but he has been loving these new teething accessories we got from Mama & Little! They are literally the cutest teething necklaces and bracelets ever. These are from their Rose Luxe line and I love them so much! They are so stylish and I don't feel like I'm wearing a child's toy around my neck! The necklace I'm wearing is such a unique shape and has subtle marbling throughout and the bracelets are so cute and perfect for stacking. I've also noticed that they help Nixon stay focused at feedings too, he has been all over the place lately and if I have my necklace on while I feed him he just plays with it instead of flailing around. Happy Friday! Coming back from a holiday weekend is always rough, and I tell you what, this week was rough for us. Well, for my husbands car specifically. Tuesday someone swiped the back of his car at his work and drove away, classy, and sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning someone BROKE INTO his car. IN OUR DRIVEWAY! Talk about feeling violated... They got away with some of his work things and then some really weird things like 15-20 paint rollers, a pair of his pants and a belt...? Good one. So yeah, to say we are ready for this week to be over is an understatement. It's hard to feel secure again after something like that but we are grateful it wasn't worse. 

Anywho, back to business, sometimes you have to dress up in heels and take your son for a walk, am I right? Haha but no, really I know it's summer now but I love a good moto jacket. They're perfect for those cool summer date nights. I found a lightweight cotton moto jacket that I've linked HERE too if you're looking for something a little cooler.
