 Happy Monday Loves! Hope you all had such a great weekend! We had a great time taking Nixon to the splash pad and for a walk up in the mountains and just spending time together! In past summers, I was always super busy with work and school so I felt like I spent the whole season inside and really wasn't that excited about it since I wasn't able to actually enjoy it. This summer has been completely different! Now that I'm done with school and am able to spend my days with my little guy, there is so much to experience! I love that we have so many fun local splash pads these days, they are such a fun free activity for everyone to enjoy! What are some things you other Utahans like to do with your kids during the summer?? I'm new to this so I'm always looking for new ideas for us!

 Nixon is almost 11 months old now and has 6 teeth and the last week I think he was probably getting another one somewhere because he was super ornery and he's usually a super happy guy. He wouldn't let me look of course, but he has been loving these new teething accessories we got from Mama & Little! They are literally the cutest teething necklaces and bracelets ever. Happy Friday! Coming back from a holiday weekend is always rough, and I tell you what, this week was rough for us. Well, for my husbands car specifically. Tuesday someone swiped the back of his car at his work and drove away, classy, and sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning someone BROKE INTO his car. IN OUR DRIVEWAY! Talk about feeling violated... They got away with some of his work things and then some really weird things like 15-20 paint rollers, a pair of his pants and a belt...? Good one. So yeah, to say we are ready for this week to be over is an understatement. It's hard to feel secure again after something like that but we are grateful it wasn't worse. 

Anywho, back to business, sometimes you have to dress up in heels and take your son for a walk, am I right? Haha but no, really I know it's summer now but I love a good moto jacket. Hey there! I'm so excited to wear dresses all summer long, it really can't get here soon enough for me! Utah is very tricky right now though, those of you who live here know what I'm talking about. It's so nice one day and rains or maybe even snows the next three. Anyway, I'm loving this boho-chic shift dress that I found at Target on clearance for $9 and I can't wait for more warm days to wear it! If you have one near you make sure you head over to Target and check the clearance racks for this dress before its gone! I've linked a couple similar dresses as well though just in case! I love the colors and print on the dress and really love the scoop back. It's the little details like that that always get me.

Hey there! I'm so excited to actually have some warm spring weather for the next few days at least! Typical spring in Utah, a few nice days to give you hope for summer then surprise, rain! Cold! Probably more snow! Ha! Hopefully we'll be in the up and up here soon though, I'm so ready for skirts and dresses every day! It is so much more comfortable for me in the heat to have flowy maxi skirts or dresses on. 

Maxi skirts/dresses have been on trend for a few years now and they're very easy and affordable to come by now which I love but to keep them moving along with current trends I love to tie up a little knot in the side of my skirts. I feel like it adds a little interest to a basic, neutral skirt. I also love wearing a loose tee that I slightly tuck in and let a little slack hang over. I prefer to only tuck a little in because it gives it more of a casual feel for me.
